3 Dimensional Foam Letters Are a Popular Choice for Exterior Building Signs
For exterior signs, foam letters are a top choice for building signage in Las Vegas. Clients prefer a thickness of 1” to 4” to display a dimensional look when installed on a building. Foam lettering is the most cost effective way to get the most bang for your buck when it comes to size. Foam letters can be layered with acrylic faces or digital prints to give them a more appealing alternative to painting. Foam is widely used for address numbers, as well. For exterior use, we recommend 2lb. – 15lb. foam with aluminum or acrylic faces. If you own your building, and you want the letters to last 10 years or more, you might consider foam as dense as 15lb. If you are leasing the building, and are considering moving in a few years, 2lb. foam will suffice!
Foam letters and or foam core, or foam board or even gator board can also be used for interior applications, such as lobby signs, warehouse signs, lobbies or reception areas. In these protected areas, plain Gator foam is effective, as there are no outdoor elements to deteriorate the coated paper faces. (Gator foam is NOT to be used outdoors, as the weather will destroy the foam within a year!)
